So with the epic release of Modern Masters 2017, we can’t help but wonder just what Wizards of the Coast has in store for us next! However, stumbling across this Twitter post from MTGWizard on March 18th, 2017 the first of the new upcoming new set Amonkhet, which is due to launch April 28th, 2017, may have just been spoiled! Sadly, you’ll have to go with the translation I’ve painstakingly gotten from google translate, as the original image appears to be in Portuguese.
So from what we’ve gotten here, the card’s name is Dusk(Anoitecer) and Dawn(Alvorecer) which from a player’s standpoint is cool as hell, but if we look a bit further into the card, Dusk is a 4 mana critter sweeper. Destroy all creatures with power equal to or greater than 3. This should be really effective with the amount of aggro and midrange decks taking over the Standard meta right now, this might be the card that Control decks will need to have as a common staple. However, if we move to Dawn (play this card only from the graveyard, then exile it) returns all creature cards with power equal to less than 2 from your graveyard to your hand. If it turns out that these cards are actually real then we may be looking at some grave play in the next set, introducing a new breed of split cards with the “consequence” mode to keep them interesting.
The only problem we have here is this isn’t an official preview so there is no saying this card is actually real, but if it is then DAYUM! the art is epic and fits the feel of the new set but until we hit spoiler season in the coming weeks prior to release, the most we can do is guess.
Sector 7 Gaming will keep everyone updated with a list of spoilers as they are released! What do you think? Is it real, or have we been had?
